Kano Pillars dynamic midfielder, Rabiu Ali popularly known as Pele has boasted that the Eagles will make Nigeria proud ahead of the CHAN Eagles quarter-final game against Angola on Sunday.
The midfield maestro who came off the bench to score an 84th-minute penalty against Equatorial Guinea in Nigeria's last group game is confident that Nigeria will emerge as champions at the end of the tournament.
The Eagles have scored only four goals so far in the tournament with three coming from the game with Equatorial Guinea.
Ali revealed that the Coaches have been drilling them in the art of goal scoring and finishing during the recent training sessions and have promised the team will replicate what they've learnt in training on match day.
The veteran midfielder also revealed that there was indeed an approach by a Libyan club but talks broke down due to a disagreement.
"We've been working on our finishing in training as we know we haven't been excellent in that aspect," he said.
"The coaches have been working on us on how to convert our chances and I believe that Nigerians will see a difference on game day.
"That aside, I can confirm to you I was contacted by a Libyan club but the arrangement didn't suit both parties.
"They (the Libyan team) wanted me to play for them for four months on loan but didn't want to pay anything to Pillars as a loan fee for that period so talks broke down," Ali added.
Nigeria will on Sunday trade tackles with Angola for a semi-final ticket.
