Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation Referees appointment committee, Alhaji Sharu Rabiu Inuwa Ahlan has heap praises on the performance of referees in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
In a live radio interview with Aminci 103.9 FM, the multi-award-winning of the Kano State Football Association said the successes recorded recently is indicative of a good season ahead.
It could be recalled that there were away wins in each of the first four matchdays so far which is good for our league.
Ahlan, who is in far away Morocco with the Super Eagles Home based team promised to introduce Referee Of The Week award to spur match officials to always put in their best.
"We will soon introduce referee of the week/month award to celebrate with the outstanding officials who distinguish themselves."
"Our referees are trying their best and will do more in years to come. We will soon start seeing our referees officiating in high profile FIFA/CAF organized matches." Ahlan added.
He, therefore, urged all the 20 teams in the NPFL to always have the video cameras at the matches and also provide video evidence that will support their complaints in case of any injustice.
