Ahlan: We Control The Largest Football Association In Nigeria

Kano State Football Association Chairman and Board Member of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Sharu Rabiu Inuwa Ahlan has said that Kano State FA is the biggest in the country and has the highest number of registered Football clubs nationwide.


The Football technocrat made this known while delivering his speech at this year's Kano State Football Association General Assembly held on Tuesday at Tahir Guest Palace.

"We have the largest number of football clubs in the country, passionate fans, youngest and enterprising referees and talents are everywhere within and outside the City.

"That's why Kano is being referred to as the Mother of Nigerian Football.


While reacting on the numerous achievements of his administration, the Galadima of Nigerian Football said that they met zero ground structure but with the massive support received from his board members, the Association were able to organized and executed a lot of tournaments successfully.


He thanked the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Doctor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his support and empowering of Youths from the Grassroots through Sports.

"The distribution of complete sets jerseys to thousands of Football clubs within the state is one of the giant stride by the present Government towards the development of the round leather game right from the grassroots.


This year's Kano State Football Association AGM was attended by some notable names inside the Nigerian Football circle that include Former NFF Chairman and present Kano State Sports Commission Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima who also represent the Executive Governor of Kano State in the event, Jigawa FA Chairman as well as the representative of the Nigerian Football Federation President, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, Chairman of Chairmen.
