Kano State Football Association Chairman and Member of the Confederation of African Football, CAF, protocol Committee, Alhaji Sharu Inuwa Rabiu Ahlan vowed to do more in combating Youths deviant behavior through Sports.
The multi award winning Football Administrator made this known while dolling out an exclusive interview with Aminci 103.9 FM, in the commercial City of Kano on Saturday.
According to the Football 'Guru', Kano State has the highest number of Youths in the country and to assuage the crimes committed by those Youths here and there, they must be engaged through Sports.
The 'Garkuwan' Kwallon Kafar Nigeria described Football as the unifying factor that binds the unity of this country no matter your religion or ethnicity.
"Our focus at the moment is to engaged those Youths wondering in our streets through Sports.
"It amazed me to be seeing those Youths playing streets soccer and organising local tournaments with the help of the state FA.
"That was why we shifted our focus to organizing more local competitions to realized our stated objectives.
"With all honesty, I now believed in the popular saying that " Kano is the home of Football in Nigeria," Says Ahlan.
It could be recalled that Kano state FA have been described by many including Shehu Dikko and Ahmad Yusuf Fresh as the largest in the country and currently boast as the state with the highest number of professional clubs in the country.
