2018 NYG: Confident Amo Optimistic Of Winning Medal In The Soccer Event

Head coach of the Kano State Under 15 Football Team, Sa'ad Ahmad Ma'aji a.k.a. 'Coach Amo' is optimistic that his young lads will surprise many by clinching the gold medal in the Football event of the 2018 National Youth Games.


The 'Action Man' as he is fondly called in a  chat with www.tangasports247.blogspot.com revealed that his Boys are very much aware of the task ahead of them.

"My Boys are very much aware of the task ahead of them and we have nothing in mind than clinching the Gold Medal.


The experienced tactician said he will use the event to showcase the abundant of talented footballers Almighty Allah has blessed the Ancient City with.

"Look, we are Kano and we have the best youth footbal system in the country and we will show the whole country what we are made up and capable of doing, coach Amo boasted.


The Kano State Under 15 Football team will square up against other zonal champions from the six-Geo political zones of the country in the Football event and Coach Amo promised that his team will be a worthy representatives for the North West.

"We will not let our zone down and what we need from them is prayers and support," Coach Amo concluded.


It could be recalled that Kano State emerged champions of the zonal elimination held in Kaduna last Month.


He finally thanked the Kano State Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Sharu Rabiu Inuwa  Ahlan and the state's Sports commission, under the leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima for their support.

Coach Amo will be assisted with the same people he worked with during the zonal elimination.


The team is expected to depart Kano for Ilorin, Kwara State Capital, venue of this year's National Youth Games with 16 eligible players.


The Football tournament of the event will kick off on Monday, 10 September, 2018
